In honor of National Rosé Day (June 11, 2022), we are sharing one of our favorite ways to enjoy this delightful wine. Frozé is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer. You can make it ahead of time or if you’re in a rush you can make it in 5 minutes with just a few ingredients!
What type of Rosé should you use?
You should use a darker Rosé, or one made from darker grapes as it will have a deeper flavor that can withstand being diluted and blended with other ingredients. We recommend our Sauvignon John Rosé!
Frozé Recipe:
- 1 bottle of Rosé
- 8 ounces of frozen strawberries (you can also add frozen watermelon if you like!)
- 2 ½ ounces Lime juice
- Agave Syrup or Simple Syrup (½ cup water, ½ cup sugar):
- (Optional) To make simple syrup either bring ½ water to a boil and stir in sugar or combine ½ cup water and ½ cup sugar in a blender and blend till combined.
- Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a frozen strawberry or a sprig of mint and enjoy!
Ahead of time:
You can freeze the Rosé ahead of time in an ice tray for at least 6 hours if you have time. Just know it won’t freeze completely.
As always, wine tasting resevations are avalible at Blurred Vines. Come in and try a variety of wines from the West Coast, perfect for this summer sipping!
